Responsibilities or duties
The Digital Transformation Project Manager (PMII) leads the delivery of strategic digital initiatives within the Delivery Centre of Excellence of the Global Technology & Digital Solutions division of World Vision. This business-focused proficient project management role ensures that approved business investments are translated into value-led, usable digital capabilities that enable business-led change and adoption and ultimately contribute to measurable business value.
The Digital Transformation Project Manager leads delivery across the full value chain — from approved intent and validated requirements through build, quality assurance, release, and operational readiness — enabling the business to realise sustained outcomes over time.
The role orchestrates delivery across the Delivery Centre of Excellence disciplines — Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, and Change & Adoption — while coordinating closely with wider GTD functions such as Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure & Operations, and external partners.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Recognised project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
- Agile or hybrid delivery certification (Scrum, Disciplined Agile, SAFe or equivalent) preferred.
- Change management certification desirable (PROSCI or equivalent).
Experience needed
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience, including at least 2–3 years managing IT projects or workstreams within complex delivery environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead delivery activities or workstream teams through moderately complex initiatives, maintaining alignment to strategic objectives and applying disciplined delivery practices across stakeholders and deliver practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey delivery status, risks, dependencies clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in engaging and collaborating with stakeholders, including business partners, delivery teams, and vendors to build effective working relationships
- Solid understanding of organisational change and adoption considerations, with experience supporting successful implementation and transition into operations.
- Experience applying project standards, frameworks, and governance, with the ability to learn, adapt, and continuously improve delivery practices.
- Ability to support delivery across the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution and readiness for adoption.
- Broad exposure to enterprise IT landscapes including applications, integration, infrastructure, data, and cloud environments.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed organisations and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams.
- Strong problem-solving capability with a structured approach to planning, risk management, and delivery governance.
- Manage project delivery across the Delivery CoE value chain, from validated intent through build, quality assurance, release, and operational readiness.
- Orchestrate delivery across Business Analysis, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Change & Adoption.
- Ensure project fundamentals are in place to support successful adoption and value realisation.
- Enable effective collaboration between disciplines to ensure cohesive delivery.
- Maintain delivery momentum by managing dependencies, risks, and key decisions.
- Enable and support business-led Change & Adoption activities to ensure delivered capabilities are ready for adoption.
- Ensure change and adoption activities are integrated into delivery plans, milestones, and timelines.
- Support readiness planning including communications, training, and operational transition.
- Ensure delivery outputs enable successful adoption and sustained ways of working.
- Serve as the central coordination point for delivery stakeholders ensuring clarity of roles and expectations.
- Facilitate governance forums including Steering Committees and delivery reviews.
- Provide transparent reporting on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
- Support informed decision-making through structured delivery insights.
- Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, resourcing, and forecasts.
- Track progress and adjust plans where necessary to maintain delivery commitments.
- Ensure adherence to Delivery CoE governance and project standards.
- Ensure operational readiness and transition planning are incorporated into delivery.
- Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Monitor financial performance and highlight variances early to protect investment value.
- Support investment governance and value stewardship.
- Identify and actively manage delivery, operational, and organisational risks.
- Facilitate resolution of complex issues through structured analysis and collaborative decision-making.
- Ensure delivery risks impacting adoption or operational readiness are proactively addressed.
- Support sourcing activities including vendor evaluation and onboarding.
- Coordinate vendor contributions to ensure alignment with delivery milestones and outcomes.
- Ensure vendor delivery aligns with Delivery CoE standards and governance.
- Apply Delivery CoE standards, frameworks, and governance to ensure consistent delivery practices.
- Champion the application of project standards and delivery approaches across our wider team and with business stakeholders
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to improving organisational delivery capability.
- Contribute to the ongoing maturity of Delivery Centre of Excellence practices.
