ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Human Resource Administrator to support our HR function in managing day-to-day operations. You will maintain employee records, coordinate recruitment, support payroll processing, and ensure compliance with labour regulations — working directly with the CEO to build the Yongeza people function from the ground up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
EMPLOYEE ADMINISTRATION
- Maintain accurate employee records (digital & physical)
- Prepare contracts, offer letters & HR documentation
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
- Track probation periods and employment changes
RECRUITMENT & WORKFORCE
- Coordinate recruitment activities for all roles
- Post job adverts and schedule interviews
- Maintain recruitment trackers & candidate records
PAYROLL & ATTENDANCE
- Track attendance, leave, overtime & shift schedules
- Compile and verify payroll input data
- Coordinate with Finance for timely payroll processing
COMPLIANCE & ENGAGEMENT
- Ensure compliance with labour laws & internal policies
- Prepare HR reports (headcount, turnover, absenteeism)
- Support training, safety briefings & engagement initiatives
- Respond to employee HR queries in a timely manner
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
- 1+ Year HR Administration Experience
- Startup or SME Experience (Preferred)
- Knowledge of Uganda Labour Laws
- Strong organisational & communication skills
