Background
Advocate for Community Development and Environmental Protection (ACODEP) is recruiting for an upcoming multi-sectoral initiative focused on women’s participation in environmental peacebuilding, climate action, GBV/SGBV prevention, human rights protection, and environmental justice.
HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
1 Position | 2-Year Renewable Contract
Job Summary
The Human Resource Officer will support effective management of ACODEP's human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, staff welfare, training, and HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment and selection processes.
- Prepare job descriptions and recruitment documentation.
- Support staff onboarding and orientation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records.
- Support performance-management processes.
- Coordinate staff training and professional development.
- Advise staff and management on HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee relations and grievance-management processes.
- Monitor leave, attendance, and staff welfare.
- Ensure compliance with employment policies and applicable labour requirements.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain HR databases.
- Support development and implementation of HR policies.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, respectful, and professional workplace.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Relevant HR experience, preferably in an NGO or development environment.
- Strong understanding of HR practices and employee relations.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
