INVITATION TO SUPPLIERS AND LINE INSTALLATION CONTRACTORS EARLY MARKET ENGAGEMENT WORKSHOP
The Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, is implementing the Electricity Access Scale-Up Project, with support from the World Bank, to expand electricity access to households, refugee and host communities, industrial parks, commercial enterprises, and public institutions.
The ministry intends to apply part of the project funds towards:
Procurement of grid expansion materials (wooden and concrete pole hardware, conductor fittings, and insulators).
Engagement of line installation contractors for medium- and low-voltage electricity infrastructure.
In line with World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (for procurements above USD 10 million), an Early Market Engagement will be held to:
Communicate project requirements.
Explore solutions with suppliers and contractors.
Assess costs, risks, and incentives.
Understand market capacity, capability, and trends.
