JOB DETAILS:

• Design and deliver quality teaching, research, and consultancy services aligned with departmental mandate
• Develop new programs and review existing ones to meet market demands
• Engage in scholarly activities including developing teaching materials and publishing textbooks
• Conduct teaching, set/mark examinations, and submit student performance records
• Contribute to departmental administration and student admissions/induction

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching and Curriculum Development

• Deliver courses and conduct teaching/learning activities

• Create teaching/learning materials and publish textbooks

2. Research and Innovation

• Conduct research published in peer-reviewed journals
• Guide and supervise student research projects
• Develop research proposals to attract funding
• Participate in research conferences and seminars

3. Departmental Contributions

• Participate in student admissions and induction
• Market courses and consultancy services
• Attend and contribute to departmental meetings
• Support quality assurance processes

4. Professional Engagement

• Establish collaborations with other institutions
• Build relationships with industry/commercial organizations
• Participate in academic committees and initiatives

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field (required)
• Professional qualifications (required)
• Master's degree (added advantage)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years teaching in higher education or industry experience
• Demonstrated research capability or industry experience
