Job Title: Manager Wallet Platform Evolution & Innovation

Reporting to: Senior Manager Solution Architecture

Division – Technology

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

To lead architecture and Strategy of transformations and changes for the wallet systems. The role requires the assessment of the current wallet architecture eco-system and propose technical solutions to align with required changes and business strategy.

The role is responsible for ownership of wallet solution and functionalities deployed cross all Fintech Markets. This role leads to design OpCo wide wallet solutions.

Responsibilities or duties:

Main Job Functions:

• To lead and provide expertise on wallet application architecture, integration development initiatives, analysing business requirements and crafting appropriate, cost-effective, and logical wallet solutions
• Design and architect C2C, B2B and B2C wallet platforms and related support tools
• Deliver wallet solution through both Agile (and Waterfall SDLC processes where needed)
• Collaborate and communicate with different technical, business and partner teams with clear and consistent communication to deliver greater wallet architecture alignment.
• Assess and review activities and deliverables of both on and offshore resources that provide architecture and Strategy support for Wallet
• Transform complex business requirements into candidate wallet system architectures which also meet security and high availability requirements
• Leads the design and build of wallet platform ensuring best practices in design and usability
• Design, develop and implement tools and mechanisms which will reduce the time and effort it takes to integrate wallet Solutions
• Deliver wallet technology solutions that are tested, maintainable, optimized
• Deliver designs for components that solve defined wallet technical problems
• Identify risks and mitigations and make appropriate technical trade-offs in designs
• Lead Integration for legacy systems and payment systems with new wallet technologies using technologies such as service-oriented architecture (SOA) and/or restful APIs
• Work closely with business together to create technical systems that shape great wallet product experiences
• Assess wallet solutions changes and migration plans and define the change management
• Support the commercial rollouts of wallet and associated products, such as wallet APIs
• Lead adviser on wallet integration options and act as a technical SME for wallet integrations by being able to understand the platform in its entirety, from overall architecture
• Support innovative use cases, by providing technical guidance to stakeholders using the wallet and payments systems
• Work closely with stakeholders to build a solution based on the business demands and roadmap
• Lead requirement gathering workshops to ensure all business requirements are captured
• Support solution deployment planning
• Review and approval of design and ensure sign off from stakeholders
• Promote re-use of wallet solutions across the operating markets
• Regular gap analysis of use cases and capabilities to identify growth opportunities

Governance

• Lead, Set up / participate in planned and adhoc meetings for Wallet Unicorn
• Drive enterprise-wide Wallet transformation initiatives, elicit inputs from relevant parties
• Drive adequate risk mitigation and controls, and elicit inputs from relevant parties
• Prepare proposal on change initiatives, SLA policies and procedures for Wallet Unicorn
• Sign off approval on changed and new initiatives for Wallet Unicorn

Escalations

• Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on Wallet Unicorn and Fintech in General

Reporting

• Report on a periodic basis to the function leadership on progress made within the function and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organization
• Report on an ad hoc basis on specific projects, as required

Budgets

• Support the plan and managing Wallet Tech budget, Capex and Opex

Qualifications or requirements

Education:

• Minimum 4-year Academic Degree with Honors (B Eng. / BSc Computing, IT, Degree Preferred)
• Relevant certification/accreditation/membership with professional body as required for role e.g., TOGAF

Experience needed:

• 5 years relevant industry experience Wallet, digital, fintech, telecommunication
• Experience with Wallet and Payments Systems
• Experience in Integration & Orchestration, Functional Architecture Design, Technical Solution Design
• Experience in Business Analysis, Risk & Quality Management
• Proficient in Software Engineering
