Scanad Uganda is seeking a resourceful Media Manager to join their high-caliber team. In this role, the Media Manager will be responsible for strategic client consultation, encompassing the holistic planning, implementation, analysis, and optimization of campaigns across all media channels. The position involves acting as a trusted advisor to clients on all media matters, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for improved planning, presenting strategies and implementation ideas, and ensuring projects are tracked against agreed KPIs. Key responsibilities also include creating analyses and reports for campaign performance, developing best practices for media planning and operations, managing client budgets, serving as the primary media contact, researching trends, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring adherence to financial processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
In Three Months:
- Create integrated media strategy for some of the region's biggest brands.
- Contribute to the team's everyday excellence, from briefing and plan creation to delivering insightful reports.
- Understand Scanad Uganda’s Breakthrough Planning Philosophy to drive growth.
In Six Months:
- Based on client and category understanding, create and deliver the relevant solutions.
- Adhere to the golden standards in media planning and execution for effectiveness and efficiency.
- Gain working knowledge of Scanad Uganda’s proprietary tools, processes, and platforms.
In 12 Months:
- Improve team’s capabilities across search, paid social, programmatic media, and influencer marketing.
- Contribute to clients’ annual media strategy.
- Deliver on agency KPIs for the assigned set of clients.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients for all media-related matters.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance planning products.
- Present strategy and implementation ideas to clients.
- Ensure projects/campaigns are tracked and measured based on agreed KPIs.
- Create analyses and reports for outstanding campaign performance.
- Develop and follow best practices for media planning & operations.
- Manage client budgets and act as the primary point of contact for all media-related matters.
- Conduct trend research and identify new growth opportunities.
- Act as a team player, collaborating effectively with all team members to fulfill tasks.
- Ensure financial processes are followed for client setup and invoicing.
PROFESSIONAL, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Education: Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in media planning and strategy.
- Client Management: Experience in handling large-size clients across various categories.
- Platform Competency: Competency in media planning across all platforms.
- Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical Skills: Enjoys working with numbers, possesses logical thinking and analytical understanding, with great attention to detail.
- Accountability: A strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
- Certifications (Advantageous): Paid media certifications are an added advantage.
