Background

Andre Foods International (AFI) is a registered National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) in Uganda, pivotal in supporting refugees and vulnerable communities. AFI focuses on a multi-faceted approach to address food insecurity, malnutrition, health, WASH, environment, gender protection, and research. The organization has established partnerships with the government, industrialists, and local communities and has engaged in humanitarian efforts for international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and UN agencies.

AFI is actively seeking for experienced and qualified candidates to fill the position Nutrition Assistant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Outreach Site Planning & Oversight: Lead the planning, setup, and supervision of outreach sites, ensuring smooth process flow and operational efficiency.
  • Activity Coordination: Manage and coordinate all activities at treatment outreaches to guarantee effective service delivery.
  • Trader Linkages for CBT Sites: Establish and maintain connections with traders to support Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) operations.
  • Reporting & Reconciliation: Generate comprehensive site reports after reconciliation with WFP-IDM and the financial service provider.
  • Food Delivery & Accountability: Coordinate the delivery of specialized nutritious food and ensure full accountability in handling and distribution.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Community Nutrition, Social Work, or any other relevant field.
  • At least one (1) year of proven experience in community-based food assistance, nutrition programming, or related programme implementation.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of any local Karamojong dialect is strongly preferred.
