Project Officer

Our client, a leading NGO, is seeking a Project Officer to lead and coordinate advocacy efforts for secondary school teacher recruitment. The role involves planning and executing advocacy campaigns, coordinating activities across partners and stakeholders, supporting media initiatives, monitoring progress, and ensuring the sustainability of advocacy efforts within broader education policy. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, and able to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong project planning, coordination, and execution skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership management
  • Ability to monitor, report, and track project progress effectively
  • Knowledge of education policy and teacher recruitment processes
  • Effective communication skills for advocacy, media campaigns, and webinars
  • Flexibility and ability to handle evolving responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years in a project officer role or supporting function
  • Experience in project coordination, advocacy, or education policy
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with teacher recruitment policies is a plus

Ideal candidate should be flexible, willing to travel upcountry periodically and able to work in a multicultural community
