Role Overview & Scope
Busy Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Public Health Dental Officer to provide general oral health care, conduct dental examinations, deliver preventive care, and manage routine dental procedures for outpatients in Kayabwe Town Council.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Dental Care: Perform oral diagnostics, routine extractions, restorations, and preventive dental treatments.
- Public & Community Health: Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care.
- Patient & Facility Management: Maintain accurate patient dental records and enforce strict clinical hygiene and infection control standards.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Public Health Dentistry / Dental Assisting / Community Oral Health from a recognized institution.
- Licensing: Active registration and practicing license with the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) or relevant Ugandan medical regulatory body.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a busy medical or dental facility.
- Competencies: Strong clinical skill set, patient care dedication, and effective communication.
