Responsibilities or duties

Lead coordination and engagement with refugee and host community leadership structures, SMCs, PTAs, and education committees to strengthen community participation, ownership, and accountability in education interventions.

Coordinate education needs assessments, gap analyses, and monitoring activities in line with UNHCR Education Strategy and INEE Minimum Standards, and share findings with UNHCR, OPM, DLG, and education partners for informed decision-making.

Organize and support joint education sector monitoring and supportive supervision with UNHCR, DEOs, DISs, and settlement-based education coordination structures.

Ensure timely consolidation and submission of quality narrative and quantitative reports to DRC, UNHCR, OPM, and DLG in accordance with agreed reporting timelines and formats.

Ensure proper documentation, filing, and archiving of project records, including attendance lists, activity reports, procurement documentation, and accountability records.

Provide oversight support to Finance and Personnel Officers to ensure compliance with donor requirements, internal controls, and HR policies at the project level.

Coordinate and plan logistical support, fleet management, and equipment repair in liaison with AIRD and other service providers to ensure uninterrupted project implementation.

Represent PALM Corps in Education Sector Working Groups, EiESGW meetings, settlement coordination forums, and other relevant inter-agency platforms.

Support the development of new education and child protection proposals, concept notes, and donor engagement documents, aligned to UNHCR priorities.

Provide technical oversight to child-led initiatives, children’s clubs, and school–community linkage activities, ensuring integration of child protection, PSEA, and safeguarding principles.

Monitor budget utilization against approved work plans, track expenditures, identify variances, and promptly report to management for corrective action.

Ensure mainstreaming of Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD), Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) across all education interventions.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Bachelor’s degree in education(core), Social Sciences, Development Studies, Guidance and Counselling, or a related field.

Strong skills in coordination, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Ability to work in multicultural, resource-constrained, and remote environments.

Experience needed

Minimum 3 years’ experience implementing education and/or child protection programs in humanitarian or refugee settings.

Proven experience coordinating formal and non-formal education programmes.

Demonstrated experience working with UNHCR, OPM, DLG, NGOs, and UN agencies.
