KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate, supervise and support sugarcane production by outgrowers to ensure that cane supplied to the company meets quality, quantity and timing requirements.
  • Monitor sugarcane fields and provide technical guidance to outgrower farmers on land preparation, planting, crop maintenance, harvesting and ratoon management.
  • Mobilize, coordinate and maintain good working relationships with outgrower farmers, ensuring adherence to agreed production practices and schedules.
  • Conduct regular field inspections, monitor crop progress and identify production challenges, pests, diseases and other field-related issues.
  • Support planning and coordination of harvesting and cane delivery to ensure timely and consistent supply to the company.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in agricultural field operations, preferably in sugarcane production, outgrower schemes or commercial farming.
  • Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of sugarcane production practices, crop husbandry and field management.
  • Experience working directly with farmers/outgrowers and coordinating agricultural activities.
  • Good communication, supervision, reporting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work extensively in the field and manage multiple farmer/outgrower activities.
