About the job

Our client is seeking an experienced Genset Sales Executive to support the growth of their generator business in Kampala. The role requires strong technical knowledge of generator specifications and solid experience selling gensets. Previous experience working in or for companies such as Car & General, Cummins, Perkins, CAT, Davis & Shirtliff, Mantrac, APE, or similar is a strict requirement, as the position demands hands-on industry familiarity and an existing understanding of power-solution dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Sell generator units to commercial, residential, and institutional clients
  • Conduct client visits, demos, and technical support
  • Build and manage a solid sales pipeline
  • Track market trends, competition, and pricing
  • Maintain accurate sales reports and client records
  • Support marketing activities and product visibility

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of direct generator sales experience (mandatory)
  • Previous experience working in or for companies such as Car & General, Cummins, Perkins, CAT, Davis & Shirtliff, Mantrac, APE, or similar (strict requirement)
  • Diploma/Degree in Sales, Electrical Engineering, or Business
  • Strong understanding of generator specifications and power ratings
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-handling skills
  • Self-driven, target-focused, and able to work independently
