We are hiring a Junior Accountant at Baikal Financial Services Limited. We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and motivated individual to join our Accounts Department.
Responsibilities or duties
The Junior Accountant will support the daily operations of the Accounts Department and ensure that all financial transactions, documents, and records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
- Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
- Generate and manage customer invoices.
- Perform bank and petty-cash reconciliations.
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records.
- File financial documents systematically for easy access and retrieval.
- Identify and report discrepancies in financial records.
- Assist with routine accounting and administrative duties within the Accounts Department.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling financial information.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Experience needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- One to two years of accounting experience, preferably within a microfinance institution.
- Recent graduates with strong accounting knowledge are also encouraged to apply.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with accounting software, particularly Tally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
