Job Title Project Officer- ReLive Project
Function Program Implementation

Location Kyangwali Travel required 70%

Responsibilities or duties
KRA 1: Communicating for Influence
- Work closely with colleagues to carry out communication activities as per the communication strategy
- Support the Programme area with the preparation and dissemination of communication materials to the various stakeholders including school clubs, school management structures, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Mobilise communities to attend community awareness meetings about Plan programs and projects
- As may be requested, gather and share case studies, write up Most Significant Change stories, and profile the impact of projects
KRA 2: Ensuring Impactful Implementation
- Provide support towards the implementation of projects, ensuring that the desired results, and final impact, are achieved on time and to standard
- Work in collaboration with the project team to organize community awareness and sensitization sessions about the project and Plan programs.
- Support colleagues in logistical and administration work related to projects and collection of project data that will result in accurate budgeting and resource utilization for the project
- Organize and facilitate periodic planning and review meetings with teachers, children, school club members, parents, school management structures and district stakeholders.
KRA 3: Risk, Compliance & Accountability
- Support the identification and management of risks, in particular those associated with procurement, finances, safeguarding, and staff health, safety and security:
- Assist the project team in complying with the risk management framework relating to PIU's projects
- Participate in and cooperate with audits, including maintaining and updating the audit tracker
- Support project stakeholders conduct quarterly project monitoring and support supervision visits and meetings.
- Implement the policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC) to all areas of work, and concerns promptly reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
KRA 4: Safeguarding, Gender Equality & Inclusion
- Ensure that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

Qualifications
- A Degree in Education, development studies, social works & social administration, social sciences and humanities. Certificate in project planning and management is an added advantage

At least 3 years’ experience in implementing Education and Livelihoods support programs preferably with an International Non-Governmental Organization in humanitarian context
