Job Summary

Provide overall reservations support to the Lodges and maintain the company’s payment policy

Reports to

Tour Sales Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to accommodation inquiries accurately and document all the incoming bookings on a daily basis
  • Provide a list of confirmed bookings and expected arrivals to Great Lakes Collection Lodges Managers on a daily basis
  • Preparation of all departmental invoices and follow up on outstanding payments for all the bookings
  • Identify Top Producing Accounts for recognition on a monthly basis and maintain special handling of the repeat and VIP guests.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports for decision making as far as procurement is concerned. Make recommendations for change in product quality based off of guest feedback.
  • Participate in the preparation and construction of the annual departmental budget.
  • Make monthly visits to the Lodges upon request by your supervisor.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Accurate responses to inquires times to be documented/updated on a daily basis)
  • Great Lakes Collection rates charged are accurate and consistent as per invoiced amounts
  • Confirmed booking & expected arrivals list is sent to respective lodge manager on a daily basis
  • Confirmed bookings at the CRO on file
  • follow-up with clients directly on all outstanding payments
  • Identification of Top Producing Accounts for monthly recognition, to be submitted to supervisor.
  • Daily and weekly reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner to supervisor.

Job requirements

  1. At least 2 years’ experience as a reservations officer
  2. Degree in Tourism, Marketing, Customer Relations or related fields
  3. Considerable experience related to some supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience
  4. Product knowledge related to the tourism industry.
