JOB PURPOSE
The Security System Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a range of advanced security equipment, including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, motion sensors, tracking equipment, and other security-related devices in both residential and commercial settings. This role is critical in ensuring our security systems function optimally and comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, setup and configure CCTV systems, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and other security-related equipment.
- Run cables and wires for device connectivity and mount cameras/sensors in strategic locations.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks, system diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Respond to service calls, diagnose issues, and repair/replace defective components.
- Integrate and test security systems to ensure seamless interoperability.
- Provide end-user training on system functionalities and troubleshooting.
- Assess the need for system upgrades and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and system configurations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and legal requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- At least four (4) years of experience in a related field such as electrical or telecommunications.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Equivalent.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong understanding of electronics, electrical wiring, and Systems programming.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
In good mental, physical, and psychological health as per SUL standard
