Role Overview
As an Accountant at Rhema Investments E.A Ltd, you will play a crucial role in examining, analyzing, and interpreting accounting records to prepare financial statements and provide insights into our financial operations. You will work closely with a dynamic team of two, reporting directly to the Finance Manager and Administrator, in a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Position Details

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings.
- Report to management about asset utilization and audit results, recommending changes in operations and financial activities.
- Collect and analyze data to detect deficiencies in controls, duplicated efforts, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws and regulations.
- Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Inspect cash on hand, notes receivable and payable, and canceled checks to confirm accuracy.
- Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other related fields.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Tax preparation software (EFRIS), financial analysis software (SPSS, EXCEL), document management software, and database reporting software.
- Required language proficiency in English and Luganda.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Duties:
- Supervise the auditing of establishments and determine the scope of investigations required.
- Confer with company officials about financial and regulatory matters.
- Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending necessary controls.
- Examine records and interview workers to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
