About Wezesha Impact:

Wezesha Impact is a FOR-IMPACT organization dedicated to improving the employment outcomes of youth in Africa. Our mission is to equip youth with the skills and tools for entrepreneurship and work readiness, enabling them to thrive socially and economically.

We focus on two key areas:

1. Skilling and preparing youth for entrepreneurship and work readiness.

2. Supporting youth-led enterprises to start, survive, and thrive, and helping youth secure employment.

We work with both female and male youth, between the ages of 15 to 30 years that are navigating the transition into productive and fulfilling work. We aim to improve employment outcomes of youth enrolled in vocational institutions and vulnerable, unemployed youth across communities.

Purpose of the Role

As an Administrative Assistant Volunteer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of Wezesha Impact's Lira office. Your contributions will ensure the smooth functioning of

administrative tasks, facilitating the organization's mission to improve the employment outcomes of youth in Uganda.

1. Monthly Stipend

A monthly stipend will be provided to cover:

o Transportation: Daily commute to and from the office.

o Meals: Lunch and refreshments during office hours.

o Communication: Mobile airtime and internet data for work-related purposes.

2. Training and Capacity Building

o Onboarding Orientation: Introduction to Wezesha Impact's mission, values, and operational procedures.

o Skill Development Workshops: Access to internal training sessions aimed at enhancing administrative and professional skills.

o Mentorship: Guidance and support from experienced staff to foster personal and professional growth.

Experience

Hands-on Exposure:

Engagement in real-world administrative tasks, providing valuable experience for future employment opportunities.

Networking Opportunities:

Interaction with professionals and stakeholders in the sector, potentially leading to job referrals or collaborations.

Certificates and References

Completion Certificate:

Upon successful completion of the volunteer term, a certificate acknowledging your contributions will be issued.

Recommendation Letters:

Based on performance, letters of recommendation may be provided to support future job applications.

Work Environment Supportive Culture:

A conducive work environment that encourages learning, collaboration, and respect.

Flexible Hours:

Work hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional adjustments based on organizational needs.
