Background

The Mbuya Graduate Transition Centre invites applications for its first Graduate Transition Cohort — an intensive 8-week transition experience designed to help young people move confidently from education into employment, entrepreneurship, freelancing, innovation, further education and professional development.

THIS IS MORE THAN A TRAINING COURSE.

The Mbuya Graduate Transition Centre combines:

FIVE INNOVATION LABS

  • Agribusiness
  • Agro tourism & Cultural Tourism
  • Green & Circular Economy
  • Digital Economy & Technology
  • Oil & Gas

Participants will learn by doing — through practical projects, industry engagement, coaching, field experiences, problem-solving, market research and applied assignments.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

We welcome applications from young people across Uganda who are:

  • UACE leavers ready to take the next step after secondary school
  • Diploma holders preparing to enter or transition within the world of work
  • University graduates looking to turn their qualifications into opportunities
  • Young people who want to explore employment, entrepreneurship, freelancing or innovation
  • Individuals who want to build practical skills and become more confident and work-ready

You do not need to have your entire career figured out. The Mbuya Graduate Transition Centre programs is designed to help you discover, develop and pursue your next opportunity.

Applications are open to qualifying individuals across Uganda, including Kampala, Jinja, Mbale, Soroti, Lira, Gulu, Arua, Hoima, Fort Portal, Mbarara and Masaka.
