The key purpose of this role is to maintain equipment in an as new condition, assuring reliable performance to standard through inspections, corrective actions to restore equipment back to inherent condition, problem solving to address root cause of failures and loop closure and provide input into the ZBB maintenance budget.

Key outputs and responsibilities:
OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
1. Provide specialist support to the shift based teams during operations.
2. Assist as functional expert in problem solving.faultfinding and correct responses to mechanical failure modes
3. This must be undertaken in support of the Process Artisan Where requested, provide guidance and advice to the shift based teams on mechanical equipment, mechanical
4. maintenace schedule issued by the Maintenance Planner
5. Partake in maintenance post mortems to feedback problems, opportunities and learnings from maintenance activities

PLANNED MAINTENANCE
1. Take part in maintenance planning meeting, contributing suggestions and clarifying work required
2. Carry out work during the planned maintenance outage in accordance with the planned

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

1. Partake in cleaning, lubrication and inspection in accordance with the maintenance schedule issued by the Maintenance Planner
2. Carry out routine maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule
3. Where problems have been uncovered during routine maintenance, these must be resolved using the appropriate problem solving techniques.

RUNNING REPAIRS
1. Partake in carrying out running repairs on plant and equipment, or support the Process Artisans in carrying out repairs
2. When carrying out repairs, assess the problem and determine a course of action
3. Complete the administration tasks relating to any running repairs carried out as per CMMS requirements

PROBLEM SOLVING

1. occured during routine activities, apply the correct problem solving approach to resolve
2. Where required, call in additional resources to assist in problem solving or escalate to the Maintenance Controller for direction
3. Assist fellow team members to resolve problems.

7. Carry out houskeeping tasks, and apply 5S principles during the execution of duties
8. Operate in a safe manner at all times, and identify and highlight unsafe work practices so that these may be corrected

Profile:
Education and Experience:

Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
1. Min – 1 - 3 years in a manufacturing plant especially in a packaging bottling production environment.
2. Experience: 1-3 Years technical mechanical and bottling experience in a FMCG environment.
