The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing all payments from guests at the restaurant, bar, and other points of sale. This role requires high levels of accuracy, integrity, and excellent customer service to ensure a smooth and positive check-out experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payment Processing: Receive and process payments via cash, credit cards, mobile money, or other methods, ensuring accuracy at all times.
• Billing: Prepare and present accurate guest bills/invoices, verifying all charges before final settlement.
• Reconciliation: Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, reconciling all transactions and reporting discrepancies.
• Customer Service: Handle guest inquiries regarding their bills politely and efficiently.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including voids, discounts, and corrections.
• Point of Sale (POS) System: Operate the POS system proficiently and report any technical issues.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cashier, preferably in a hotel or busy restaurant.
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer applications (Excel).
