JOB DETAILS:
TPO Uganda is a local Ugandan NGO that has been operating in the country for 25 years. Our programs comprise interventions organised around the following themes; Care and protection of OVC; child protection, livelihoods support, mental health and psychosocial support, response and prevention of all forms of violence against women and children as well as emergency response and humanitarian action. TPO Uganda is active in 33 districts in the region and is a member of several partnerships and coordination mechanisms in the country.
The Chief of Party will take overall responsibility for the delivery, coordination, implementation and monitoring of the OVC program. S/he will be responsible for technical leadership, financial and administrative oversight of the program and will serve as the principal institutional liaison to USAID. S/he will manage a team of senior staff and sub-partners and ensure quality, timeliness, and operational efficiency across the entire program.
S/he shall have a deep understanding of the overall goals and objectives of the activity.
Education and Experience: Master’s Degree or higher in public health, business administration, social sciences or an equivalent field. Experience managing a USG cooperative agreement preferred including demonstrable experience managing complex consortium based USAID multiyear grants as a prime grant recipient.
At least 10 years of experience designing, implementing and managing large, complex projects
