Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Implementation: Developing and implementing computer science curriculum aligned with Cambridge standards and best practices.
Lesson Planning and Delivery: Creating engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, utilizing various teaching methods and resources.
Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and designing appropriate evaluations to monitor learning.
Classroom Management: Establishing a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Technology Integration: Utilizing educational technology tools to enhance instruction, facilitate learning, and prepare students for the future.
Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues to create a stimulating learning environment, participate in departmental meetings, and support extracurricular activities.
Staying Updated: Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in computer science and technology and integrating them into the curriculum.
Student Support: Providing individualized support to students, including those who require additional assistance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor of Education degree, ideally with a Computer Science focus or specialization.
Experience: 3 years and above experience teaching computer science at the secondary school level, particularly within the Cambridge curriculum.
Teaching Credentials: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Skills: Strong knowledge of computer science concepts, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in various teaching methodologies.
Other: A passion for technology and education, a commitment to creating a positive learning environment, and the ability to adapt to new technologies and learning styles.
