ABOUT THE ROLE
The desired candidate is experienced in Funds and capital raising. Key responsibilities include developing and executing fundraising plans, building relationships with investors/donors, creating pitch decks, and managing the fundraising processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans: This includes identifying potential investors, understanding their investment criteria, and crafting a compelling fundraising strategy.
2. Build and maintain relationships with investors: Cultivating strong relationships with both existing and potential investors is crucial for securing funding.
3. Create and refine pitch decks and financial models: A well-crafted pitch deck and accurate financial models are essential for attracting investment.
4. Manage the fundraising process: This includes coordinating investor outreach, managing negotiations, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
5. Provide insights on deal structuring and investor relations: Understanding the nuances of deal structuring and managing investor expectations is key to successful fundraising.
6. Analyze fundraising data and refine strategies: Monitoring the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and adapting strategies accordingly is crucial for achieving funding goals.
7. Collaborate with the executive team: Working closely with the ZAF TECHMART's management to ensure alignment and a unified message.
Qualifications:
1. Strong understanding of the ICT industry: Knowledge of the technology sector, including relevant trends and market dynamics.
2. Experience in fundraising and investor relations: Demonstrated ability to identify, engage, and secure investment from potential investors.
3. Excellent communication and presentation skills: The ability to clearly articulate the startup's vision and financial projections to investors.
4.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective fundraising strategies.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team: The consultant should be able to manage the fundraising process from start to finish, while also collaborating with ZAF TECHMART's management.
6. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information systems or a related field: A relevant degree is desirable, along with relevant experience.
7. Experience with fundraising software and CRM systems: Familiarity with tools for managing investor relationships and tracking fundraising efforts.
Compensation:
This is a performance-based, results-based consultancy role with compensation tied to successful capital acquisition. A competitive success fee will be awarded only on funds successfully secured through your efforts, ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership that prioritizes impactful funding for the communities we serve. Details will be discussed during the selection process.
