Credit Officer

Responsibilities or duties

  • Booking new and repeat loans as per Officers targets
  • Preparing the prerequisite number of loan files and ensuring that all requirements are on file and proper credit analysis has been done and then submit to your supervisor.
  • Following up approved loans to do timely disbursement and achieve a TAT of not more than 3 days per case.
  • Reporting all non-performing cases to the supervisor and seek recovery support.
  • Monitoring and recovery of all the loans in their portfolio.
  • Selling all KYAPS’ loan products to the general public and converting them into KYAPS members.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Minimum of a Diploma in a Business related field.
  • Should possess 2 principle passes at A’ Level and credits in English and Mathematics at O’ Level.

Experience needed

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in related field.

Skills and Competencies Required

  • Good team work skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Creativity and writing skills.
  • Strong business and analytical skills
  • Should be self driven
  • High level of integrity
