Our client - a leading retailer providing a wide range of power tools, hand tools, and related hardware products to customers across Uganda, with reliable delivery and dedicated customer support, is hiring! The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing digital marketing campaigns that promote our client’s products and services. This role focuses on increasing brand awareness, driving online sales, and engaging with customers across various digital platforms to support overall business growth
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies across multiple channels, including social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and paid advertising (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
● Manage and optimize social media profiles (e.g., TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) to increase engagement, followers, and brand visibility for the organisation.
● Create, curate, and manage engaging content (text, image, video) tailored for various digital platforms, showcasing the organisation and their applications.
● Monitor and analyze website traffic, social media metrics, and campaign performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
● Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
● Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings for relevantl products.
● Develop and manage email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, promote products, and communicate special offers.
● Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to align digital campaigns with overall marketing objectives and sales targets.
● Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field is preferred.
● 2+ years of proven working experience in digital marketing, preferably within the retail, hardware, or automotive industries.
● Strong understanding of current digital marketing concepts, strategies, and best practices.
● Proficiency in social media management tools, email marketing platforms, SEO tools, and web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
● Experience with paid advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager).
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
● Website Traffic (Organic, Referral, Direct, Social)
● Social Media Engagement Rate (Likes, Shares, Comments, Mentions)
● Conversion Rate (Online Sales/Leads generated from digital campaigns)
● Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) for paid campaigns
● Email Campaign Open and Click-Through Rates
● Search Engine Ranking for key product keywords
● Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
