Overall purpose of the job.
To oversee and manage the installation, maintenance and repair of overhead electrical lines, coordinating field operations, ensuring safety and leading a team of foremen and electricians.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise the installation and maintenance of overhead power lines and associated equipment up to 33KV
• Lead and mentor a team of foremen, electricians, helpers ensuring high standard of workmanship and safety.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Plan and schedule work activities, preventive maintenance schedules, and allocating resources effectively
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used and safety inspections
• Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot electrical issues as they may arise.
• Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform any other related duties as may be assigned to you by Superintendent/ Management from time to time.
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelors in Electrical engineering.
Experience, Skills and Competences:
Proven experience in supervision, particularly with overhead lines with Class B ERA permit. Knowledge in electrical safety precautions, safety standards and best practice.
Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities, effective communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to travel to job sites as required. Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills
