Summary
Manages and organizes office operations and procedures, such as word processing, bookkeeping, flow of correspondence, filing, requisition of supplies, and other clerical services.
MEETING PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability needed to effectively execute this job. Essential Duties Of The Position
- Prepare daily sales paperwork in a clear and concise manner.
- Count down and balance all cashier drawers.
- Monitor safe funds, make change orders and prepare daily bank deposits.
- Run individual cashier readings, closing procedures, daily sales reports, and accounting reports to support daily reporting responsibilities.
- Maintain cash over/short logs on cashiers and takes appropriate action to correct undesirable results.
- Maintain adequate and appropriate cash level and inventory for tobacco and lottery records at all times in an organized manner.
- Handle cashier questions, check approvals, loans, voids, and register problems.
- Implement all related security and cash drawer accounting procedures as outlined by MLCV policies and procedures and as directed by management.
- Understand and utilize MLCV bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate records as established by MLCV accounting department.
- Assist in coordinating audit work and respond to accountant’s requests.
- Assist in-store inventories and manage overall inventory controls.
- Maintain accurate records required by management.
- Maintain and monitor security and safety procedures.
- Promote a high level of associate morale with all cashiers utilizing friendly and professional methods of communication.
- Assist in creating desired store image and customer relations.
- Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on courteous, friendly customer service.
- Assist in creating a favorable community image through cultural awareness and promoting community events.
- Displays a high level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment and the ability to deal with confidential matters.
- Held accountable, to the highest degree, for the control, accuracy and thoroughness of all expenses, records and reports.
- Responsible for Organizing Grand Market files.
- Handles all other projects and duties as assigned.
- This Associate is a team player and Back-up Night Manager and Inventory Specialist when needed.
Special Qualifications
- Must be able to pass Wewinabi's Non-Gaming Suitability Standards background check.
- Must be able to work with minimum direction after job assignment and work either individually and/or as a team member.
- Must possess excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and organizational skills.
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, in order to define problems, collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response. Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Talk and hear; ability to communicate effectively.
- See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision;
- Stand, walk, run, sit, (up to 8 hours) balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl;

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:
- A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
- A moderate-to-loud noise level (operations areas).
