ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Human Resource Administrator to support our HR function in managing day-to-day operations. You will maintain employee records, coordinate recruitment, support payroll processing, and ensure compliance with labour regulations — working directly with the CEO to build the Yongeza people function from the ground up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

EMPLOYEE ADMINISTRATION

  • Maintain accurate employee records (digital & physical)
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters & HR documentation
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Track probation periods and employment changes

RECRUITMENT & WORKFORCE

  • Coordinate recruitment activities for all roles
  • Post job adverts and schedule interviews
  • Maintain recruitment trackers & candidate records

PAYROLL & ATTENDANCE

  • Track attendance, leave, overtime & shift schedules
  • Compile and verify payroll input data
  • Coordinate with Finance for timely payroll processing

COMPLIANCE & ENGAGEMENT

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws & internal policies
  • Prepare HR reports (headcount, turnover, absenteeism)
  • Support training, safety briefings & engagement initiatives
  • Respond to employee HR queries in a timely manner

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • 1+ Year HR Administration Experience
  • Startup or SME Experience (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Uganda Labour Laws
  • Strong organisational & communication skills
