Agricultural Business Initiative (aBi) was jointly founded by the Governments of Denmark & Uganda in 2010 as a social enterprise that channels development cooperation funding to agribusinesses & agricultural service providers. aBi aims at building a competitive, profitable & sustainable agriculture and agribusiness sector in support of equitable wealth creation in Uganda.
aBi Finance Ltd is an impact investor providing sustainable financing solutions in Uganda's financial services sector. Its mission revolves around enabling access to agribusiness and green finance, achieved through three key strategies: offering competitively priced liquidity through lines of credit (LoC), mitigating agribusiness finance risks using the agribusiness guarantee (AG), and bolstering the capabilities of financial services providers through Financial Services Development (FSD) and Business Development Services (BDS).
