SAFEGE Engineering Uganda – SUEZ Consulting is hiring a  Project Assistant / Administrative Officer to provide technical, administrative, logistical, and operational support to the project management team.

About SAFEGE (SUEZ Consulting)

SAFEGE – SUEZ Consulting is the engineering and consultancy branch of the SUEZ Group, a global leader in water, environment, energy, and infrastructure services.

In Uganda, SAFEGE supports the implementation of large-scale infrastructure and development projects financed by International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and implemented in collaboration with governmental entities such as NWSC and the Ministry of Water and Environment.

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Assistant / Administrative Officer to support our Project Team in Kampala.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative and Logistical Support

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, correspondence, and filing systems.
  • Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions (logistics, invitations, attendance lists, reports).
  • Draft minutes, workshop summaries, and support technical reporting.
  • Support the preparation of progress and monitoring reports for the Project Manager.
  • Assist with visa and work permit applications for expatriate staff.
  • Coordinate local transport, accommodation, and daily logistics (drivers, cars, printing, fuel, communication costs, etc.).

Procurement and Financial Support

  • Support procurement processes, including preparing specifications, collecting quotations, and drafting purchase requests.
    Assist with expense tracking, petty cash, and budget monitoring.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping and filing of financial and procurement documents.

 Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or final-year student in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
    Experience: Previous internship or experience in administrative or project support roles is an asset (not mandatory).
  • Skills:
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Languages: Excellent level of English
