Inuka Ongoza Africa (INOZA) is a social enterprise that provides leadership toolkits to young executives and entrepreneurs in Africa to thrive, lead and transform their sphere of influence. Through the Obiol-Katine Town Council Transformation Programme, INOZA seeks to eliminate poverty, catalyze socio-economic development in Obiol-Katine Town Council by promoting sustainable land use, climate-smart agriculture, youth leadership, and entrepreneurship using the Kizimba Agribusiness Model.
To support the implementation of this initiative, INOZA is seeking a dedicated and proactive Project Assistant (Intern) to join the team.
Purpose of the Role
- The Project Assistant (Intern) will support the day-to-day coordination, monitoring, and documentation of activities related to the Obiol-Katine Town Council Transformation Programme. The intern will work closely with community leaders, youth groups, and partner organizations to ensure smooth implementation of project activities and meaningful community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and coordination of field activities under the Obiol-Katine Town Council Transformation Programme
- Assist in mobilizing community members, especially youth and women, for participation in project interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, attendance lists, reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Assist in data collection, monitoring, and evaluation of project outcomes.
- Support training and workshops logistics, including materials preparation and coordination.
- Contribute to writing field reports, success stories, and communications content.
- Participate in stakeholder engagement meetings and provide administrative support as needed.
- Perform any other tasks in INOZA as assigned by the Programme Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.
- Intern experience in other CSOs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated interest in community development, youth empowerment, and sustainable agriculture.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Fluency in English and at least one local language spoken in Uganda (Luganda, Ateso or Kumam) is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel regularly to Obiol village.

- Mentorship from INOZA staff and access to INOZA’s leadership development resources.
