JOB DETAILS:

The Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) is a statutory Body established in accordance with the Electricity Act, I999 (Chapter T45, Laws of Uganda). The Act empowers ERA to regulate the Generation, Transmission, Sale, Export import and Distribution of Electrical Energy in Uganda.
The Authority seeks to recruit a competent and well-motivated person to fill a vacant position of Project Engineer- Civil. The position is contractual, running for an initial five (5) year period, subject to renewal upon satisfactory performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Promote investments in renewable and alternative sources of electricity in Uganda.
• Foster growth in private investment in generation facilities in Uganda's Electricity Supply industry.
• Advise the Management of ERA and potential investors on the available alternative technologies and opportunities for investments in electricity generation in Uganda.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Essential: Education, Training & Experience
• An Honors‘ Degree in Civil Engineering.
• The candidate should be a registered Engineer or registrable with Uganda Engineers Registration.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience preferably in construction/operation of generation plants.
• Age: 25 to 35 years.
