Key responsibilities
- Liaison Between Medical Staff and Administrators:
- The Project Medical Head (PMH) plays an essential role in connecting the medical team with administrative personnel, fostering effective communication to ensure alignment of objectives and seamless collaboration. Working in close partnership with the Project Operations Manager, they facilitate rigorous decision-making processes.
- In particular, the PMH will cultivate a strong working relationship with the client medical Chief Medical Officer (CMO), discussing strategic initiatives, addressing emerging concerns, and collaboratively crafting plans aimed at enhancing patient care.
- Balancing the Medical Facility’s Budget:
- The stewardship of financial resources is a pivotal duty of the PMH. This involves meticulous oversight of budgetary considerations related to clinical operations.
- Working hand-in-hand with the client medical CMO, the PMH strategically allocates resources to maximise financial effectiveness while preserving high-quality patient care.
- Ensuring Optimal Patient Care:
- The PMH is an advocate for patient-centred care, consistently monitoring clinical outcomes, safety protocols, and patient satisfaction metrics.
- Collaboratively, with the client medical CMO, the PMH ensures patients receive exceptional medical care, exploring innovative approaches to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Developing and Maintaining Relationships:
- The ability to build and maintain relationships is a critical skill for the PMH. They actively engage with local healthcare providers, community partners, and other key stakeholders.
- In your role, the PMH will work closely with the client medical CMO, sharing insights and pooling best practices to forward improvements in patient outcomes.
- Clinical Oversight and Mentorship:
- The PMH is responsible for providing clinical oversight and mentorship to the medical staff, ensuring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals receive guidance and support in their practices.
- Through active collaboration with the client medical CMO, the PMH ensures that clinical practices abide by evidence-based guidelines, thereby promoting patient wellbeing.
About you
This role is tailored for you if you possess:
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in emergency medicine
- Previous experience working in remote sites and challenging environments
- A post-graduate qualification in emergency medicine
- CREDENTIALS: ACLS, ITLS, PALS certifications
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA) regulations
