Role Overview
We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This position requires an individual who thrives in a collaborative and innovative environment, is customer-focused, and possesses a proactive mindset. You will be working independently under the direct supervision of the Business Development Manager.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Location: Kampala
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid
- Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Business Development Manager
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify and target new commercial and industrial clients for solar solutions.
2. Conduct product presentations and provide technical consultations to customers.
3. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential clients.
4. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to close sales deals.
5. Coordinate with technical and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
6. Track and manage sales leads using CRM software.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, solar technologies, and market developments.
9. Provide customers with regular updates on project progress and after-sales service.
10. Focus on finding clients and closing sales.
11. May have limited involvement in after-sales service or internal company matters.
12. Works more externally (fieldwork, outreach, door-to-door, etc.)
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or other related fields.
- 7-12 years of relevant experience in sales.
- Active Listening, Persuasion, Judgment and Decision Making skills are essential.
- Knowledge of Sales and Marketing and Customer and Personal Service is required.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be advantageous:
- Experience in planning, assembling, and stocking product displays in retail stores.
- Knowledge in Computers and Electronics.
- Complex Problem Solving skills.
