eTranzact Platform Ltd is a leading African financial technology company seeking a visionary and results-driven Manager of Sales to lead and grow its Uganda operations. This pivotal leadership role will be responsible for steering the company’s strategic sales agenda in Uganda, aligning with eTranzact’s broader Pan-African mission to drive financial inclusion, innovation, and digital transformation.
The Manager of Sales will report directly to the Board and serve as the face of business development and operations in Uganda. This role requires a Sales leader with a deep understanding of the financial services and fintech ecosystem, strong strategic acumen, and a demonstrated ability to scale and drive sales in dynamic environments.
The company is hiring a Sales Manager to drive growth in Uganda. The responsibilities will include identifying new customers, managing the whole sales cycle, and closing deals. They are looking for someone with a strong background in telecoms and fintech sales, making this job perfect for someone who loves building sales portfolios across various industries.
Key responsibilities include delivering technical and functional presentations and product demonstrations tailored to potential clients, showcasing a deep understanding of eTranzact Platform Limited (EPL) products. The candidate will collaborate with prospective clients to assess their needs and determine how EPL products can address them, identifying any gaps. They will also respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
The role involves developing detailed proposals customized to meet clients' requirements and align with EPL’s capabilities. The Sales Manager will liaise with the Global product team, development, and delivery teams to address customer needs effectively and lead negotiations, including contract negotiation stages, to secure deals. They will cultivate relationships across the region to uncover new opportunities and work with the marketing team to develop targeted sales campaigns.
Effectively managing time between short-term and long-term opportunities is essential, as is onboarding customers of the Xcel App and working closely with partners countrywide.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful industry sales and proficiency in selling to banks, FMCGs, SACCOs, and fintech companies. They must have the ability to identify and address challenges faced by fintech companies, encompassing technological, regulatory, and commercial aspects, and a proven capability to generate quality leads and achieve high conversion rates.
The candidate must be able to quickly understand what clients need and have knowledgeable conversations about the technical and business parts of proposals. They must be skilled in conducting negotiations and closing deals, adept at building strong relationships with decision-makers, and have experience in fast-paced startups and/or selling enterprise products in established companies. A consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets is required.
Requirements for the position include 5+ years of demonstrable experience in sales, business development, or a similar role and a proven track record of building and managing successful sales and driving revenue growth. The candidate must possess strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, and a passion for sustainability and a solid understanding of financial products and FINTECH trends and challenges.
A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies and experience working in a fast, dynamic moving environment are also required.
