Responsibilities or duties,
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Engineer for performing the following duties:-
- Participating in the formulation and review of national policies for the water sector;
- Participating in the formulation and review of national plans for urban water supplies and sanitation;
- Conducting appraisal, feasibility study, design, procurement and construction, supervision of water supply, sewerage and sanitation systems under the respective Divisions;
- Organizing and participating in coordination and management meetings under the Department;
- Preparing and maintaining up to date information on urban water supplies and sewerage services;
- Participating in the formulation and review of urban water and sewerage services programmes;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills),
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; or its equivalent from a recognized University / Institution.
Experience needed,
Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience which should have been served as an Engineer in Government.
