JOB DETAILS:
Social Performance Director

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the Land, Social and CSR Managers and their teams including;
• Ensure critical skills and positions are identified.
• Ensure critical positions are recruited in Kampala and in the field.
• Ensure an adapted training plan is designed and implemented for each member of the teams (including on HSE, Compliance and Ethics policies).
• Develop and maintain cohesion of the management team ensuring a shared vision and overall strategic approach for the company
• Animate and motivate managers and teams.
• Mentor the managers on their management skills and supervise the appraisal process.
• Liaise with international experts when required.
• Ensure the Social Management Plans (SMP) adequately integrate the mitigation measures identified in the Environment Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) and are compliant with IFC Standards and assess the need for additional social studies. Lead the Stakeholder Engagement entity to define and implement the Company Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and Plan covering Authorities, Business and Civil Society stakeholders including Project Affected Communities, in close coordination with the NGO & Human Rights entity.
• Maintain proper alignment with EACOP Uganda on Social Performance activities and find synergies where possible (in particular in the field of Social Investment and CSR).
• Manages, prepares and reports on budgets, resources and schedules required for Social Performance and CSR management

Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 15 years' experience in social activities management, having managed the Social Performance and Human
• Rights aspects on at least one major construction project.
• Experience in managing medium to large size teams
• International exposure is a plus
• Experience to have been gained in similar role however experience working in Oil & Gas would be an added advantage.
