Description

Markh Investments is hiring a Stores Assistant to ensure efficient receipt, storage, safeguarding, issuance, and control of company inventory and supplies while maintaining accurate stock records and supporting uninterrupted organizational operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Ensure proper storage and preservation of inventory items.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, stock cards, and inventory management systems.
  • Issue items against approved requisitions and company procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and recommend replenishment when necessary.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits.
  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies, damages, and losses.
  • Prepare monthly inventory and stores reports.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness within the store environment.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Stores Management, Logistics Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in stores or inventory management in a busy and structured work environment, preferably in clearing & Forwarding
  • Experience using computerized SAP inventory management systems is highly desirable.
