Treasurer
To lead and coordinate the Treasury Operations function by ensuring optimal liquidity management, efficient cash flow operations, and strict control of daily banking activities across the Group.
Responsibilities or duties
- Cash & Liquidity Management: Monitor daily cash positions across all bank accounts and ensure optimal liquidity.
- Payment Operations: Oversee timely processing of vendor payments, payroll. statutory remittances, and intercompany transfers.
- Bank Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with banks to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Cash Forecasting Support: Prepare and consolidate cash flow forecasts with Finance and Business Units.
- Bank Reconciliations: Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of all bank accounts.
- Controls & Compliance: Enforce treasury policies, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Transaction & Operations Governance: Supervise the end-to-end execution of high-value local and international trade payments, guaranteeing 100% compliance with internal control thresholds.
- Transaction Monitoring: Review and validate high-value transactions before execution.
- Process Improvement/Automation: Drive automation and efficiency in treasury operations.
- Intercompany Funding: Manage intercompany funding requests and settlements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Direct the prompt, accurate submission of all statutory treasury returns, central bank documentation, and capital import certificates (e.g., CCI filings).
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- A minimum of HND or a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification (ACA/ACCA/CFA) is an advantage.
Experience needed
- Minimum of 5 years in Treasury, Cash Management, or Corporate Finance operations in a multi-entity organization.
