JOB DETAILS:

Applications are invited from suitable and qualified candidates to fill the under listed vacant posts that exist in the service of Nakaseke district local government.

The role supports the safe and effective use of biomedical equipment in health facilities. It involves assisting with the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of medical and laboratory equipment, and helping ensure equipment is available and fit for use.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of biomedical equipment.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of equipment in health facilities.
• Maintain equipment records and report faults, service needs and safety concerns.
• Advise and assist health facility staff in the proper operation and care of equipment.

Qualifications and skills

Candidates should have relevant training in biomedical engineering or a related engineering discipline, with practical knowledge of medical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and safety procedures. The role requires analytical and problem-solving ability, attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with health facility staff.
