We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions for an anticipated USAID Uganda Voluntary Family Planning for Improved Health and Development Activity. The main result for this activity will be to increase adoption of healthy Family Planning and Reproductive Health (FP/RH) behaviors which will contribute to long term demographic shifts and thus accelerate Uganda's progress towards its overall development goals. Key intermediate results will include improving leadership and coordination to support FP/RH programs, addressing deep rooted social and cultural practices that negatively impact adoption of FP/RH behaviors, and strengthening provision of comprehensive FP services. The COP will provide overall technical and management leadership to the design and implementation of the project, leading a team comprised of other senior-level staff. The COP will facilitate the development and implementation of project strategy and plans including ME&L. The COP will ensure excellent coordination and collaboration with USAID, public and private sector partners and stakeholders at the community, facility, district, and national levels. The duration of the project is five years and the position will be based in Kampala. Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project to FHI 360 and final USAID approval of the candidate. .
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the overall planning, implementation and management of the project as well as the achievement of the goals and objectives of the project in a timelv and cost-effective manner.
• Lead the planning of all project activities and set high quality performance targets ensuring adherence to technical standards, evidencebased best practices and donor guidelines.
• Liaise between USAID/Uganda and all other Government of Uganda officials involved with the program ensure strong lines of communication and collaboration are established and maintained.
• Oversee a team of senior technical, financial and program management staff for the project and ensure strong communication and coordination with and between all team members, and with relevant staff in HQ and the East and Southern Africa Regional Office.
• Ensure project implementation follows all USAID grant terms and conditions.
• Ensure project reports submitted to donors complete and on time.
• Ensure the effective use and coordination of donor resources and the compliance of the financial systems and controls with relevant donor standard.

Minimum Requirements:
• A Master's Degree from a University OR 5 years of professional experience working in a senior management position for donor funded health projects in addition to the below requirement of 10 years);
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study (required);
• A minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility working for multifaceted family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) programs;
• At least 7 years of project management experience of public health projects in Uganda;
• At least 5-10 years' experience managing USAID funded programs;
