On behalf of Our client in the manufacturing sector, we are looking for competent and experienced Digital Marketing Executive to be based in Kampala

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda.

Job Summary: The Digital Marketing Executive will plan, execute, and optimize digital campaigns to promote our products. This role drives online brand visibility, engages B2B audiences (contractors, architects, builders, dealers, interior designers) and B2C consumers (homeowners, DIY enthusiasts), generates qualified leads, supports product launches (new shades, eco-friendly lines, durable coatings) and contributes to sales growth in a competitive market.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies across channels: social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok), Google Ads (Search, Display, Performance Max), email marketing, and company website/e-commerce (if applicable).
  • Manage social media presence: Create and schedule high-engagement content including before-after project photos, colour visualization reels, application tutorials, shade trend videos, customer testimonials, dealer spotlights, and seasonal promotions.
  • Plan and execute paid campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads) with targeted audiences such as construction professionals, painting contractors, hardware retailers, and homeowners; manage budgets, A/B testing, and bid optimization for maximum ROI and lead quality.
  • Support SEO and content marketing: Perform keyword research (e.g., “best exterior paints Uganda,” “low VOC interior paints Kampala,” “industrial coatings suppliers”), optimize website/product pages/blog content, and create educational articles on colour psychology, surface preparation, eco-friendly paints, and maintenance tips.
  • Handle email/SMS marketing: Design newsletters, product launch announcements, shade card promotions, loyalty programs for dealers, abandoned cart reminders (if e-commerce enabled), and lead nurturing sequences.
  • Coordinate visual and multimedia content: Work with photographers, videographers, or designers to produce high-quality assets (product shots, project case studies, virtual colour try-ons) that highlight paint performance, coverage, and aesthetics.
  • Track, analyze, and report performance: Use Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, email platforms, and other tools to monitor KPIs (traffic, engagement, leads, conversions, cost-per-lead, ROAS); prepare weekly/monthly dashboards with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product development, R&D, and dealer network teams to align digital initiatives with new product introductions, promotions, market expansions, and seasonal demands.
  • Monitor competitors, industry trends (colour forecasts, sustainable coatings, digital colour matching tools), and platform algorithm changes; propose innovative tactics to stay ahead in the paints/coatings sector.
  • Manage online reputation: Respond to inquiries, reviews, and comments promptly; address feedback to enhance brand trust and customer satisfaction.
  • Support virtual events: Assist in webinars, live shade demos, dealer training sessions, or online product showcases to engage professional audiences.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, Google Analytics, HubSpot Inbound, SEO) is an advantage
  • 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, building materials, paints, construction products, or related B2B/B2C industries.
  • Experience targeting professionals in construction/architecture is a plus.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Meta Ads Manager / Business Suite
  • Knowledge on Email platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar)
  • Experience with SEO tools (Google Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs basics), Content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Premiere basics, CapCut), CRM basics for lead tracking
  • Creative flair for visual and color-centric content; strong copywriting skills to communicate product benefits (durability, coverage, eco-friendliness, washability).
  • Data-driven mindset: Comfortable analyzing metrics, identifying trends, and optimizing campaigns for performance.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with internal teams and external agencies/vendors.
