Reporting:Head of Advocacy & Corporate Communications

Supervising:Policy Research Analysts

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support the execution of advocacy strategies and programs in line with departmental objectives.
• Monitor and track relevant policies, legislation, and regulatory developments affecting the business.
• Conduct research and analysis on public policy issues and industry trends.
• Assist in preparing policy briefs, position papers, reports, and presentations.
• Assist in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, regulators, and industry bodies.
• Coordinate meetings, forums, and engagements with external stakeholders.
• Represent the Supervisor in selected industry engagements and advocacy platforms as assigned.
• Support internal communication of policy updates and advocacy priorities.
• Maintain a database of stakeholders and track engagement outcomes.
• Assist in identifying advocacy risks and opportunities and escalate appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements.

Academic Qualification, Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in law, Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Finance, Communications, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in advocacy, public affairs, government relations, finance, economics or a related role.
• Membership to a Professional Body in Economics, Statistics, Law, Government Relations is desirable
• Basic understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement is an added advantage.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Good communication and report writing abilities.
• Interpersonal and relationship management skills.
