Ministry of Agriculture, Animal and FisheriesThe Government ot Uganda (GoU) has received credit trom the lnternational Fund for Agricultural Developrnent (lFAD) towards tinancing a ten-year National Oil Palm Project (NOPP). The project will be implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture Animal lndustry and Fisheries (MAAIF) as the Lead Agency. lrnplementation will also involve other partners including other Ministries, agencies, District Local Governments and private sector players with strong public and private sector partnership in project irnplementation
National Oil Palm Development Project (NOPP) under the Ministry ot Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAlF invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to till the tollowing vacant posts
6. Environment Health and Safety [ENS] Officer Reporting to the Operations Manager, the primary responsibility ot the EH5 Otticer will be to ensure that good EHS practices are tollowed by all oil palm smallholders supported oy NOPP. The EHS will have the responsibility of ensuring that both tarmers and the private sector partner produce oil palm in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner The EHS Otticer will he the lead person in ensuring environmental and social practices for sustainable oil palm production The Officer will be in charge ot ensuring that the conditions ot approval for the environmental and social impact assessment are adhered to and effectively executed by the project
