Background
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client SECUREX in the Banking industry, we are looking for competent, skilled and experienced HEAD OF SALES to work in Kampala, Uganda Head Office.
Job Purpose
Responsible for business growth, expansion and operational efficiency of the regions. Plans, develops and implements commercial strategies that reflect the objectives and priorities of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing commercial strategies in line with company goals and objectives, with the aim to accelerate growth.
- Execute on Securex’s regional expansion strategy.
- Set up and closely monitor operations in the region to achieve operational excellence.
- Collaborate with various teams including tech, marketing, operations and finance to ensure profitability of the organization.
- Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.) as well as to understand threats.
- Managing existing client relationships - understanding their requirements, ensuring their needs are met.
- Designing and implementing new sales and customer acquisition strategies.
- Monitoring performance of commercial activities using key metrics and reporting to senior management.
- Establishing and maintaining long-term, profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Assisting with setting, managing and monitoring financial targets and budget development

Required qualifications/experience
- A degree in Business Administration, Business Commerce, International Business or any relevant field from a recognized institution
- Masters in Business Administration will be an added advantage;
- Professional qualification: Diploma in sales & marketing from a recognized institution or equivalent;
- A minimum of eight (8 years) experience of which 4 (four) should be in a management position in main stream Sales.
Quality Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Leadership& Support: Provide leadership within your department by leading and supporting your departmental staff in conforming to Securex OH&S management system requirements.
- Improvement: Promptly action any health and safety issue/concern escalated to you by those under your supervision (for closure).
- Risk Assessment: Take responsibility in the implementation of operational controls for hazards/risks arising from departmental activities and programs.
- Management of Change- Undertake reviews with the QHSE department before introducing or changing departmental processes/ activities /products/services, in order to identify any safety or health hazards/risks that may result from the change.
- Management Review- Take part in scheduled periodic Management Reviews on the effectiveness of Securex OH&S management system.
- Ensure your own safety and health and that of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at the workplace (these other persons include fellow employees, clients, customers etc.)
- Co-operate with the QHSE department in the discharge of health and safety requirements.
- Wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the company for the purpose of preventing risks to your safety and health.
- Comply with the safety and health procedures, requirements and instructions given by the company for your own or any other person’s safety.
- Report any accident or injury that arises in the course of or in connection with your work.
- Co-operate with the company to enable compliance with any statutory provision/requirement in health and safety
