Stanbic Bank Uganda is hiring a Officer – Business Enablement with the following duties and responsibilities;

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting leadership in strategy management by proactively monitoring, reporting on and enabling the resolution of business issues, business process improvement initiatives, and programmes designed to build organisational capabilities.
  • Engages with business partners, within Operations and across the bank, and develops management information and custom reporting that provide insights into the effectiveness of the execution of key Operations deliverables. The role holder will also contribute to the elevation of the process culture in Operations and the bank, to drive customer satisfaction and continuous improvements.
  • Research and analyse operational issues impacting business activities in Operations, and work with the relevant teams to generate actionable recommendations to enable business improvements. Contribute to a supportive, high-performing, and healthy work culture by driving the Operations Brilliant Basics agenda.
  • Create weekly and monthly dashboards and reports to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relating to business operations. Provide ongoing reporting and analytical support to the Operations department and its stakeholders.
  • Review existing processes for adequacy and effectiveness of operational efficiencies and controls to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Adhere with the bank’s compliance-, risk- and conduct-related requirements. Monitor and report on the implementation of process-related change management activities to promote successful change adoption.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • First Degree Business Administration, Business Computing, Statistics or related field.
  • Certification in Data and analytics is preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in Data analysis with an orientation to business operations reporting, underpinned by sound research, communication, and business writing skills.
  • Demonstrably strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Power Point is essential.
  • Knowledge or experience of data visualisation tools like Power BI is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years practical experience in working in an Operations environment with VAF Fleet, applying business analysis in order to optimise and improve decisions making by business, effecting business performance and deliverables.
