Procurement Superintendent
Location: Kampala, Uganda however can be mobilized to Lake Albert area, other construction sites or other cities as required.
Primary function:
Responsible for the procurement management of KF drilling activities. .

Responsibilities:
• Prepare the detailed guidelines, regulations and procedures of procurement management of the project team.
• Assist Supply Chain Manager in preparation of the procurement plan, correspondences, presentations and other reports.
• Organize and participate in bidding evaluation, participate in negotiation on procurement contracts and complete evaluation reports.
• Develop contracting strategy with Supply Chain Manager and other procurement team members.
• Analyze potential and existing purchasing contracts and recommend modifications and implementation.
• Select contractors with other departments and organize the qualification examination of the contractors.
• Act as a liaison between end-users and suppliers to renegotiate changes in specifications and/or terms and conditions.
• Facilitate/coordinate meetings with purchasers, end-users and suppliers.
• Directly handle defaults and disputes, and devise resolutions.
• Conduct training on purchasing processes for drilling and completion engineering groups.
• Analyze, develop, implement and track performance measurement criteria to monitor the suppliers and procurement's cost reduction efforts.
• Other duties assigned by superiors.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or above in Petroleum engineering, electrical engineering, SCM or the related.
• At least 10 years' related working experience including 5 years in oil industry.
• Experience in Production operations
• Experience in oil & Gas procurement
• Experience in oil and gas Engineering
• Experience working is global Company

Knowledge:
• Extensive knowledge of purchasing policies, methods and procedures and their use.
• Knowledge of the latest business purchasing management strategies, purchasing practices, purchasing philosophy, pricing strategies, and price and cost analysis.
• Knowledge of the marketplace, major suppliers and products, and industry dynamics/drivers.
• Ability to provide all features, act on information that augments the customer's ability to realize the potential value to a core product or service.
