Purpose of Post
The Sales and Marketing Officer is responsible for overseeing the overall achievement of sales targets and managing customer expectations.
Keys Skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook etc.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Good at multi-tasking and prioritizing
- A great team player
- Have initiative and be innovative
- Costing and reporting
Minimum qualifications
Diploma in any technical field (entomology, public health, food science, any engineering field or sales & marketing) & 3 years sales experience.
Responsible To
General Manager/Managing Director
Main Duties Bid Management
- Identify bids, plan, compile and submit competitive offers
Sales & Marketing
- Maintain and develop a customer and prospect database.
- Plan and carry out direct sales/marketing activities
- Develop ideas and create offers to major accounts
- Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by email, telephone, and personal visits.
- Ensure that customer receives a good service that exceeds customer requirements and is satisfied with the service.
- Manage all aftersales functions of the business.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers
- Conduct sales analyses, monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
- Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys.
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
- Manage relevant reporting of management and financial information for the sales and marketing departments.
- Maintain and develop corporate image and reputation, and protect and develop the company's brands via suitable PR activities and intellectual property management
- Understand and implement role as per quality, environment, health & safety management systems
- Handle any other responsibilities relating to sales/marketing as may be assigned by the Managing Director and General Manager
